"spluttering problem"

Firstly this isn't a clio or mine, its my dads 60 Plate Transit connect.

Now it broke down the other day on the motor way due to the fuel filter being blocked, so it was replaced but now its "spluttering" as such.

if your at a constant speed say 30mph in 3rd and sticking at it, it kind of judders and splutters slightly.
The other thing is it kind of holds back, you put your foot down and it holds back for a second or 2 and then picks up.

any ideas? as gotta take it up to Wolverhampton tomorrow and unsure whether or not to as it may break down again.

Air in the fuel i'd imagine

thats what we thought, but then we spoke to our mech and because its done lots of miles it should have already removed air lock
