sportline fitting help [ urgent ]

  Monaco RS Clio 172
hi all

I have had a bad day lol

my sportlines arrived, I lifted the car, got one side nearly done, it pissed down.

so I battled on in the pissing down rain, until both fronts were done.

now it has stopped, so I got it jacked and on stands at the rear, undone both the nuts but not took them all the way out, and am now stuck.

cannot get spring compressors in the space to compress them and they seem to be in there still rock solid!

can't shift them.

can anyone shed any light on this as it's been nearly 2 hours on these now and I am beginning to lose my rag lol

thanks

You dont need compressors on the back. Just jack it up, put the stands on the sills. Undo the bolts so the wheels drop to the ground. the springs will fall out. If they dont, whip the wheels off so they can drop further down.

Need to have both sides of the car jacked up otherwise the anti roll bar does it's job to well. Defo don't need spring compressors, especially if your fitting lowering springs.

just undo the 2 18mm bolts on the bottom of the rear shocks (1 per side) with the car ON THE FLOOR

then jack it up, springs will fall out

if it takes more than 20min to do the rear then you need "help" ;)
