Sports cat and stealth system for 150...

the current cat back system i've got was causing some banging due to the weight of the backox/centre section id specified. as such, went up to see him today and he agreed to make me a stealth system with a 200cpsi sports cat for my 1.2 for 150 all in.

in the meantime hes sourced me a standard exhaust to stop it banging, and booked me in for wednesday

PYE21 what have you got against powerflow? I have never heard a bad thing against them untill you've started slagging them off. If you had actually read his post/read it properly, you would see he is getting it done at a discounted rate because of a problem he has had, for them to be selling him a sports cat for £150 let alone a full system as well is an excellent discount and you wouldnt get it that cheap if you just went in and asked for it.

Middo, can you not get a a sports cat with 100cpsi? would be better performance and should keep you just inside the MOT requirements.

he originally stated it would be £298. he does do the 200 and the 100cpsi sports cats, but said he would go with the 200 to make sure it didnt affect the MOT emissions. main reason is i just fancied one and at that price i couldnt really say no lol

in my experience this powerflow dealer has been excellent, and as long as the cat doesnt rust i'm really not going to be complaining as im not expecting any performance gains.

AJR - i wouldnt slate him off too much as hes also got a flame red 172 with stealth exhaust for the winter lol

Middo - take it you're going to Silver Systems in Leek. I am booked in there tomorrow for a full powerflow system (quiet/hidden, £280) and sports cat (£150). This guy was recommended on here so I'm happy to give him a go.

yeah he mentioned using you as guinea pig for my lamba sensor fitment only joking, you wont be disappointed hes really good with a mint reputation. hes also put one on his 172 so your pretty much guaranteed to have a problem free exhaust. ive had some problems (of my own making) and every time hes sorted free of charge, with no questions asked.
