Sports/reclining seats. Talk to me

  172
So what seats has everyone got?
I was going to use a Cobra fixed back with harness but thought as its my main car it may be wiser to get some reclining recaro style seats.

What confuses the hell out of me is when you may have a cheap brand and how are you supposed to fit them?
Cobra seem a wise choice as they are all just bolt in. They come with sliders and all you need when you buy a Clio subframe.

Problem is I want something supportive and comfy but dont want to pay a big deal. Also seats where I can use the standard seatbelts would be ideal.

Also does anyone know what seats these are?

Don't bother with fixed seats if you just use the car for normal use.
I had cobra misanos in my old clio and they were really nice. They don't come cheap though. Could try cobra Daytona but they are over £300 each. Your best best would be to try and get a set second hand on ebay.

With all seats you need a specific subframe for the clio, and the seats mount on that.

Hmm yeah I may just wait till a really nice recaro comes up and in the meantime just get a subframe for one of the seats above and sell the other one

another vote for trendlines. Not tried any other reclining sports seats but find these comfortable.

I want something other than trendlines as well but still have access to the back.

Obviously the trendlines will fit if they are taken straight out of a clio but if they arent is it just a case of getting recaro subframes?

They seem.a bit pricey for my liking I mean I could buy a f**king sofa for that money and I dont care much if seats are leather lol

Trendlines are very average. I've got them in the meg, and I've had them in 2 clios. Barely more supportive than standard seats, nowhere near low enough. They look nice. That's about it. I ended up buying recaro speeds, much better. Gutted I can't fit them in the meg!

There are some Accord type R trendlines on ebay for 475 which are quite a nice colour but they have wear on the drivers side one , the picture looks like t has beenn purposely taken badly so as not to show the real wear. You could use this to bargain them down on an offer. but then you will need the frames etc which will be 2 -300 quid.

I've got recaro's from an Evo 4 cost £200 quid for two seats in good condition and £300 quid for the subframes. I didn't want Treadlines as I'd sat in some and found them to be pretty average. The Evo 4 seats have a pretty jazzy pattern on them, very 90's, but they are really supportive (same as Recaro Speed).

Only thing is that is £500 quid which I will make back probably £200ish on the seats and no where near that for the subframes so they are not as easy to get rid of as a pair of treadlines.

Im looking at omp stradas at the moment. Or may just go for a single bucket for me. Still leaves two seats free in the back.
