sports steering wheel on non sport

i have bought a clio sport 172 steering wheel, without an airbag will my current non sport air bag fit in the space?

Has the 172 wheel you bought got cruise control buttons?

its literally just the outside bit of the wheel no buttons just the "round bit as such so was wondering if i could just fit my air bag with no buttons in the middle and fit it to my car?

Yea should do mate. They look the same to me, if you've got no cruise control buttons.
Just two metal 'clips on the back that hold it on.
