Spraying engine cover...

Car  BMW E46 330i Touring
FAO anyone who's sprayed their engine cover...

How did you go about covering up the 2.0L 16V lettering? I'm thinking tracing paper onto masking tape, and then cut out and stick on...

Indeed, the lettering's all taped up... and then I realised that I've left the paint in the car with me mrs, who's taken it for the night! Will do it on Friday...

take off the masking tape while its still tacky. dont let it dry completely then demask it as you'll rip the laquer off. carefully pull it off while its tacky n it settles itself nicely upto the edge of the lettering then goes hard

Cool cheers mate, glad you mentioned it because I would've just left it on until it hardened!
