Spraying Wingmirrors

Im spaying my wing mirror trims in Etruscan Red to match the rest of the car (the originals were nicked!! So i got some sent from REnault and they come in grey!) However ive never sprayed anything like this before and it has to look good - any tips?

I personally would get a 1/4 litre of paint from your friendly local paint shop and go and see a decent sprayer and ask them nicely to paint them for you.

Take a piece off you car and get them to chip it in the shop, or preferably give them the paint code (3 numbers i think its 763)

They can usually make you an aerosol, as its a solid colour you wont need laquer.

Use grey scotchbrite to give a key, spray in clean, warm place.

thanks buddy, ill try meself but knowing me ill make a load of dripps, it will run everywhere and ill gt finger marks all over the blumin place! I do know a couple of handy people that would do it for free though! Spoke to Halfords and they have the exact paint waiting for me apparently. I do trust halfords coa they are usually really good with this sorta stuff. Good memory mate - it is 763!!!!!! Impressive

Well if you look about 4 lines up in the section there is a how to thread on colour coding bits, i suggest you read that. Grrr really annoys me when people do this!!

On a more friendly note, i did all my bumps strips etc and have just sprayed up some M3 mirrors, ntihing to it, just take your time, prep it will and dont be afraid to rub it dont and do another coat. Took me 3 days in total to do mine...then one rolled accross the car and got chipped , so i have to respray it

yeah lunners right fitted my m3s today after sprayin em myself , use the colour codig guide and its a piss of p*ss!!!
