Spring compressors worth the money?

Car  133, 182, Kangoo 182
Was looking at those spring compressors just to put on the back of the Clio for when I take the seats out (so it'll look "normal" again rather than too high).

Are they actually any good or would I be better off spending a little extra and getting some 2nd hand springs?

Yeah very funny. I know they are used to compress springs so you can take them out..

BUT, the packaging showed them being used to force coils closer together or further apart and to raise/lower the ride height using them alone.

I can get pics if you really insist on trying to make a fool of me...

You can get shitty ones from halfords which compress the springs which you leave on! I wouldnt though! Get a proper lowering kit mate .

Exactly what i was thinking..

Basically like a big clamp that you leave on your springs lol! Can't be good for them!

where is that picture of the jesus face palm :D
Considering other people have said they've seen them, why don't you just give up? They exist, end of.

TBH I don't like the look of them, and I'm not cutting my springs lol. New springs it is then :)
