My clutch pedal/cable/clutch makes an really annnoying creaking sounds when the cars warm been doing it for ages,

It's had new gearbox/clutch and clutch cable, is it just Renaults being shite?

It's REALLY loud though.

It's really embarrassing though, i'm guessing it's something i can't lube myself? Sounds more like it's coming from the cable to me. Feels slightly jerky to.

yeh it would feel jerky as the release bearing is not sliding smoothly, its really loud aswell specially when you dont have the engine running. really have gotta get mine sorted

the fork is rubbing on the release bearing, this is what I've seen when changed the clutch recently. the mechanic greased the contact area with copper based grease and guess what: problem solved
and guess again: it came back 2 days later.
what bothers me is how on earth a friend of mine's 172 doesn't suffer from this and he never replaced his clutch, and has some extra 6k mileage on. I'm not doing track days and 90% driving normally

I always used to think it was the pivot on mine causing the problem.

However I've recently found that its where the cable joins to the clutch fork. I took the cable off the fork and lubed the joining surfaces and its been gone for about a month now.

Mine started to do this during a trackday at Donington....does it when I give it some beans for a while then improves a fair bit when normal driving
