Squeaking!!

hi, I have a mk1 ph3 and if i go to pull away sometimes using a lot of clutch i get a squealing noise coming from the car, sounds like a fanbelt. also sometimes the car squeals between 1500 and 3500 revs just randomly and then stops.
i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what it is?

Sound a bit like the aux/cambelt tensioners

Then again the clutch squeeks anyway.

You need to find out exactly where the noise is comming form is the car due a cambelt/aux belt change?

i'm not sure, how many miles is it for a mk1?
