Squeaky Brakes

the brakes on my valver are squeaking and its annoying,anyone know the cause of this and how can i stop it ?

just make sure your not running on the backing plates lol!

copper grease on the backing plates, but i have tried (with varying degrees of success) on a few cars, i have been told some just cant be unsqueaked!!! bullsh*t?!

just had my brakes changed and they are squeaking so much now!!! its really annoying and the noise is pretty embarresing

i got std disks n pads and there only about 2 months old....

ive got the same problem. new pads and discs about 5 months ago so they would have bedded in by now. i had them stripped down, cleaned and greased but still squeak. its only started about 1 week ago. there dont seem to be a lot of metal from the caliper touching the pad on mine.

how many miles do the pads and disks last,driven sensibly ?

a long long time.

changed the original discs on the 19 at 120k miles. Done 60k with my driving (hard braking from above 100mph a lot) and they have only worn about 1mm. Gone through 2 sets of pads in that time.

im yet to go through my first set i put on............on any car! haha

i usually move on well before then.

Its probably the warm weather mate. get dusty etc
