I have a strange plasticy squeak coming from the gearbox region but only when i am in gear 5. The squeak seems to be related to bumps in the road but you have to be going fairly fast to create enough bump to make a squeak
(ie it doesnt happen at 40-50 - but once you get on the motorway it can be really constant and annoying)
I've had the gear gaiter up and the ashtray popped out and I cant see anything strange
the only way to stop it is to push on the plastic casing at the back of the gear level (ie near the hand brake)
any idea? I've looked and I'm not seeing anything obvious!
