squeeky wheels - bearings

Hi,

This morning after happening once last week, i noticed a squeek/squeel comming from the car as i move along slowly in traffic or especially when cornering (left). I think it is the bearings from what other posts say but they imply it gets worse at speed? mine seems to only be when turning or moving slowly and it seems worse when its cold maybe? but I think it is bearings, does this sound about right? btw it stopped last week after about 30 mins driving but seems to be worsening today the more I drive. (no affect on steering etc)

Secondly, we have 20200miles on clock in 13 months (so serviced at reno recently and as req), should the cost of getting this fixed be under warranty? I presume they are supposed to last more than 20k/1 year.

Any help/advice appreciated guys (and girls of course)

Mike.

a squeak is more likely to be coming from one of your brakes rather than a wheel bearing.a bearings noise is more of a rumbling/droning sound.if its out of the 1st years warranty then it might not be warranty.

Well, it doesnt occur with any relation to me pressing the brake pedal, secondly my brakes were only 50% worn at 18k service and I had the rear drums stripped and cleaned aswell at that time!

I would say its a squeel from the wheels when cornering and sometime when just going along.... but it does disappear sometimes.

Any ideas?
