Squish Clearance

Any engine builders on here. How critical is a good squish clearance on the F4R? Currently it's looking like 52 thou which generally is higher than ideal but skimming the deck might raise the comp ratio high than I want. Any help appreciated.

Unless you're chasing after the last 0.1bhp I wouldn't worry tbh. We only used to worry about it on turbo builds tbh.

Thanks. More to reduce detonation than gain power but I think we've decided to run with it as is. The extra cost of stripping and machining just isn't worth it.
