Sqweeky Belt!

As above, when engine is cold im getting a sqweeky belt noise from engine bay, any ideas?

Aux belt more than likely - worn belt / needs tightening etc could be a multitude of things..

Get it looked at by someone who knows whats what - Rentech aren't far from you.

Hour(2 tops) labour most likely, plus cost of belt etc.

you may as well change the tensioner and the idler whilst you're there.

it's probably the idler that's causing the squeeking as your describing the same symptoms i had.

Is there much risk of still driving it as it is? Been like it for a couple of weeks of so

cup doesn't have an idler. 15 minutes work tops, and the belt is about £12

Ahh i was just reading up and reacted in another thread about an idler ! So a 172 Cup does'nt have one !? i thought it was just the tensioner it does'nt have..
