Stalling this morning......

  172 PH1 - Black
This morning when starting up my car kept stalling - I have to do a 3 point turn and each time I dropped the clutch the car died. However when I got up and running was fine. No issues or differences when changing gear and didn't stall at junctions or traffic, which I thought was a real possibility. I did however notice the idle was closer to the 500 mark than the 700/750 it normally idles at.

Whats the verdict?? I'm thinking best case I did need to sort the idle control valve. Worst case new clutch (really hope it isn't).

Unlikely to be the clutch mate. Go down the route of cleaning the throttle body and checking hoses for leaks. Does it only happen when its been left say over night?

yeah, it was the first instance this morning, so was stood from about 2pm yesterday.

What should I look for on the throttle body?

It might just be a shot in the dark and not the same problem i had on mine. its worth cleaning the throttle body to eliminate that area. Or see how it goes and see if it happens again. It may just be a one off?

hope so. work to the gym, gym to home the car was fine, but like I said idling a little lower - if however not stalling it wont concern me too much. See what happens when i start her up in the morning.

Thanks for the advice

Mine idled very low aswell, as if it was going to cut out. Like i say it may not be the same as mine but i ended up replacing all sorts, in the end it was the icv
