I'm new to the forum even though I've had my Phase 1 from new 05/2000 only mod is a SS twin exhaust, I just had a new set of front springs fitted by my local garage (normally pretty good service) and I sure the ride height is higher. The garage even took the car back and swapped them for another set from a different supplier as he agreed it didn't look right. There was also a Phase 2 53 plate on the ramps which he measured and mine was higher, I know this doesn't prove much as it may not have been stock.
The thing is the ride is awful since and there is a clunking when going over bumps rather than a nice thud, I've had it in another garage since that always did my servicing since Renault in Newbury shut and they think there's nothing wrong as well.
I'm trying to keep the car original so I'd rather not change for a lowering kit so does anyone know the correct ride height as standard?
