Standard + Sports Cat Help + Fitment!

Right, Basically my Cat is knackered at the joints and i arent welding or f**king with it, i Just need a new Cat.

Sports cat appears the way to go, and i'm definitely not going decatted for legal reasons etc.

I have currently a Scorpion Rs192 system with a newly added non resonated mid pipe. Car currently has a standard cat.

Will this fit? Sports Cat

And are there any better alternatives?

Yeah that will fit . Its got the flange on one end and olive joint on the other , same as the original Cat. But to be honest mate . If you're looking for some sort of gain in power you're wasting your time and money . I ran a decat on mine and it did bugger all other than make my Yozza exhaust even louder lol . If and its a BIG if , you did gain a couple of bhp , in the grand scheme of things that means bugger all .

If your going down that route you may want to get a stright pipe post cat type and a mod to the scorpion centre to take it. The olive joint is pants tbh.

The sport cat above from ktec is made by janspeed I have heard off people failing the mot with these fitted.
The standard cat is a sport cat as in 200 cell and a lot more expensive.

Do you think it will change or louden the current exhaust note? Ktec "claim" 5bhp which I think is hugely optimistic, any truth in the matter?

The inlet and outlet are both the same diameter they are both 200 cell how can you gain 1bhp let alone 5bhp.
The only difference is the emissions will be higher because surface area of the janspeed is smaller and cheaper so less precious metals inside.

The bro on the phone said it was more free flowing? But to me, they're both 200 cel and both free flowing and the same shape so how can it be?
