I've gone Agent, level 10 so far and also enjoying it.

I'm impressed at how stable it is and there doesn't seem to be many bugs... i've played so many MMO's at launch that have just been awful with tonnes of bugs etc so this is a nice surprise.

Nothing revolutionary about the game but so little things that make it enjoyable and give it its own identity. Depending on endgame etc I can see myself playing it for quite a while, especially since i've just "finished" Skyrim.

Every character class apparently has its own separate story which means it will take a while to get to endgame point if you want to play through all of them. Which is quite cool.

I mean yes it can not be compared to WoW etc, but WoW has 7 years on it in terms of development and content. Be interesting to see how it expands in the next 12 months which is always the important time for any MMO. See what additional content they can get out etc.

Yea i agree the start has been really smooth, its fun not having a clue what to do and starting a new game, but i dont know if i am going to enjoy this game as much as the beginning of wow, thou i cant really remember what it was like back then, can only remember the good lol

Is this one of these games where you have to join a guild or whatever its called..? Im not really a people person :S I'm cool if we are just going to shoot stuff x

Spend a few hours this afternoon watchin videos of it. Looks really good, pretty WoWesk which I like as it'll be easy to pick up.

What classes have people gone for so far?

Just went Jedi Knight to begin with, will likely end up making something else when I want to try something. But for now, simply going with what was the first suggestion and is likely to be the easiest to play while I am getting to grips with it all.

I'm a level 12 bounty hunter, nice ranged class and I can deal some good dmg.
Been playing today and it has some great functions , the little 2+ group quest lines are fun

22nd is the Europe launch.

It was brought forward so there was a worldwide launch on the 20th. If you have pre-ordered you should already have early access, if you buy it now you should also get early access within an hour of putting in all the details etc.

Signed up yesterday, installed and activated the game but I cant play yet? no email about early access?

You done all the online crap, filled out security details, profile etc?

Quite a bit to do, then it should unlock after an hour or two.

Guys what servers are we all on? Before we get too far into it i think it'd be good to get us all on the same side/server for people to group with?

Empire ftw btw, anyone republic can GTFO now.

  Monaro VXR
Republic first, then I will make an Empire character up.

On an American server mainly at the moment, most of my friends are already on there.

Free to play for 4 days

http://www.swtor.com/weekendpass

Starting this Thursday March 15th at 05:01am GMT games players will be able to play Star Wars: The Old Republic completely free for four days. The announcement came on the official website for the game that players, including those who haven’t purchased the game will be able to download and play until 07:00am on March 19th.There will be some restrictions compared to those who have purchased the full game as the press release states that “Individuals who take part in the Weekend Pass will be able to experience the opening adventures of each of the eight character classes in the game, exploring both their Origin World and their faction’s Capital World.” The good news for players who wish to continue playing after the free trial is that their characters will not be immediately deleted after the trial has ended. Whilst Bioware don’t promise that data will be stored indefinitely they indicate that player’s saves will remain for those wanting to continue their adventures.
Playing as members of either the Sith Empire or the Galactic Republic, Star Wars: The Old Republic is the latest in the series of games which began with Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic on the original Xbox in 2003. Developed by Bioware, the game is speculated to have one of the highest development costs of all time. With a score of 85 on Metacritic, the game has received widespread praise in reviews.
