Start up probs

I go to start my car and nothing as if the bettery is dead, but if you keep the key turned for a few secs it fires up, with quite a roar too!

Any ideas whats up with it. Been like it a few days now too.

Just done it again but this time the clock went dead as it started up?

16v across battery when car isnt running and between 22 and 24v when car is.

Is it just the battery or a dodgy earth somewhere?

The battery will go flat if i dont use the car for a week.

It could be the TDC sensor. There is a thread on here somewhere telling you how to do it.

Whats the TDC sensor? Had a look on here but cant find anything.
