Starter Motor??

Hey guys, have always until now thought my car had an immobiliser problem.

But for the last week or so, if the car has been stood for about a day when i go to start it the immobiliser light is solid red, and the engine wont turn. Until i push the car a few meters its fine?!

Any ideas? Had enough of this car now!

Sounds like the starter motor. Does it not click at all?

If not, give it a tw*t with a hammer/similar (it's down behind the manifold, fyi.)

If not, check battery voltage.

I've got a starter motor spare, if you need one.
