Starting fault and slight loss of power...

Hi. I've got a PH1 172. Just recently the car hasn't been starting first time. I have noticed that when the engine is turning over, if I just tap the accelerator it seems to fire. Don't think this is a TDC sensor fault? (Maybe I'm wrong)

Also car seems to be lacking a bit of oomph. Could it just simply be a spark plug issue?

Any ideas?
