Starting issue that I can't solve!

Hello all,
When I start my car it will turn over, but then sort of stall itself? Il turn the key and instead of starting, stall/just won't start. Then il straight away turn the key again and it'll start, but run a bit lumpy (but that may just be because its a 172) ..: I don't care so much about the running lumpy as its always sort of done that, I just want it to start first time like it used to!!!
Things I've done to try and fix this...
I've changed the spark plugs to brand new NGK PFR6E-10's, I've cleaned the crank sensor, I've sourced a secondary coilpack which seems to almost have made it worse :S so considering refitting my coilpack again... I've cleaned out the throttle body. I'm stuck now for what to do!
Any other sensors I need to look At? Or could it be an earthing issue, is that something to check?
It's driving me mad now.
Thanks in advance

Fuel pressure. Prime the pump by turning key to first on position without cranking. Then off, then try to start

can change the fuel pressure regulator if it bothers you enough. it shouldn't get any worse than it is now though and it will probably start doing the same in a year

Mine just won't start first time when left standing over night but that's because of my fuel rail (its mahoosive) and the initial prime cycle isn't enough to properly fill it.

Its just an age related thing I'm afraid

Tired fpr. Pressure drops overnight so as above takes an extra prime to normalise. Yes its common I've answered this loads on here lol

Fair enough, is it likely to get worse in time or is it already at its peak now? Lol. It doesn't bother me massively ATM. Just glad it isn't anything expensive that I need to change

So I've got the exact same issue!! Cars only done 58,000 miles!! And FPR has already got lazy!!

How do I go about changing the FPR?

If nobody replies on here and you manage to find out, please send us a PM. I dont mind having to turn the key twice before starting, but it would be nice to fix it..

Cheers mate!

PS, mine was on similar milage at the time aswell. Weird!

There must be a trader on here who knows exactly what to do! I'm going to ring up renault tomorrow and be one of those really annoying customers!!

These seems to be an issue!! Let alone clio owners who don't go on forums. Renault must of come across this a few times. Does anyone know if you can get the fuel regualtor valve separately or does it come with the fuel pump?
