Starting Issue

Morning,
This morning I got into my car and turned the key.

The dash lights came on for a brief second then when I tried to turn the key fully start the engine everything just died.

Now when I turn the key the car is totally dead - no dash lights, doesnt even attempt to start.

I didnt have time to look under the bonnet or anything - had to run to get to work.

Any suggestions?

Hopefully its nothing too serious.

It may just be a one off event. I get odd start problems with my 1.2 16v.
Never had anything like that though to be honest.

Battery sounds like its dead get it charged or get a new one.

Managed to get it sorted - poor -ve connection onto the battery.

Cleaned it up and bought a new lead and its running fine now.
