Starting issues.

Hoping one of you tech wizards out there can help me. My ph2 172 has started to muck about when cold starting. I put the ignition key in and turn it all the way to start the car and nothing happens, doesn't click or wind over. If I hold the key in the start position for like 30 seconds the thing bursts into life. Anyone else come across this? Only happens in cold weather. I was thinking the ignition switch might be on its way out.

Cheers fella. Brand new battery in the summer. No problems with battery power. You recon the starter could be on its last legs?

I've used the search button and I'm thinking I'm going to get a big bill in the not too distant future!! These ignition ring things!

What's happening with your immobiliser light?

Does it flash or go solid and off?

No the light flashes as normal and goes out when I try to start it. Only happens when it's really cold outside!
