Starting problem... HELP!

Mates car has started doing this lately:

She can get in and it starts first time. but if she stops, leaves the key in the ignition, it wont start? even when she takes the key out etc it wont start and it needs bumping

checked alternator, immobiliser and battery etc. what else could it be ?

that happend to my mates car too, turns out it was a dodgy fuel relay.
pretty simple to fix

It happens to mine some times.... just been halford he checked my battery 59% ooooops
