starting problem

after washing the ph1 today i noticed one of the relays behind the glovebox was clicking on and off quickly (kpet stopping and starting) while a few lights on the dash were lighting up. Would start fine etc so took it out as i thought it would be water getting to some electrics so i took it out for a drive to see if it would dry out. When i arrived back home i took the key out and the car remained on. Took the key out and left the car for 30-60mins and went out to start the car.....

the car turns over but will not fire, when turning it over the imobiliser light is flashing very quickly and alot of the lights on the dash are on while trying to start it.

any ideas? :dapprove:

Open the car and leave it on the sun for a few hours (if possible). Just remember to disconnect the battery.

Whats the spec of the car?

Change the relay? Check all the fuses.

Check all the relays in the engine bay then check the battery is charged enough.

then check the obvious tdc sensor etc.

if the red light on the dash says on then check imobiliser relays and the other key as the imobiliser is causing the trouble.

ive removed all engine bay relays and clean the nodes on them and the base plate. Ive bumped the car and still wont start. How else would you check the relays without replacing?

The red light goes off with the key turned.

thanks
