starting trouble

im having trouble with my 172 cup,now and then when i go to start the car i turn the key and nothing happens at all,ive changed the starter motor and sprayed all the connections with electrical cleaner im now starting to think it must be a faulty wire or something,just wondered if anyone has had same problem

If the lights flashing on the dash when the ignitions on it means the key isnt syncing with the immobiliser. Is the starter turning and not firing or is sweet fa happening?

nothing at all mate when you turn the key nothing happens,then sometimes you try it a few times and it starts then other times it wont start at all.
