Std 182 exhaust life

Looking for an excuse to spend a few quid on a sports exhaust to get a few more bhp/Nm from my car, not to mention a better sound! Would ideally replace it when the original expires, so am just wondering how many miles/years a standard 182 exhaust is good for? My car is 11 months old, with 13k on it.

Few have failed yet. Some of the early ones had trouble but they were sorted under warently.
I'd say 4~5 years and 50~80k or so 172's ones last about 3 years/36k.
It will depend how there treated though.

I looked at mine yesterday as i was changing the oil , its looking a bit ropey , its only on 4200 miles and 6 months old I'll just get a powerflow when it drops off , lol .

Mine started to rattle at 17000 miles. Jumped in on the Grp buy for Blueflame. Well chuffed now, sounds sweet.......
