Steering/Horn Issue

Car  182
Last week my car developed a strange problem where the horn sounded everytime I turned left... I thought loose cable or something, removed the fuse and carried on until i was able to "have a look".

Now a week on i have noticed that the steering wheel when turned in normal driving conditions "seems" to make a kind of rubbing/grinding noise...It seems to be coming from the underside of the SW where this joins the column.

A guy who I know has said it sounds to him like the rotary bearing has gone...?

What does this sound like to you guys and WTF is a rotary bearing, and what costs could be involved?

Cheers in advance

Definitly you have a problem with the Rotary Bearing. It happened to me last year. It´s really easy to change.

Best Regards.
