Steering rack issues

Hi guys, I need some help please! My 182 feels very vague and seems to wonder when driving twisty roads at 40+mph, also i think I'm having to turn the wheel too much when cornering as it doesnt seem sharp when I turn in. I've had my front shocks replaced plus ball joints and track rod ends. These all helped but haven't cured the issue. Which has led me to thinking it's a steering rack problem, I've had it looked over and the garage said they couldn't find anything wrong with the bushes, spring joints, pinion or clamps etc, so I'm out of ideas, do you think I should just go ahead and replace the rack?! Seems like my only option? Let me know what you think, it's really annoying me now!
