Steering Wheel Replacement / Re-Trim Help

My Mark 1 steering wheel is in desperate need of some TLC. I've been quoted more than £200.00 for a replacement so I'm looking at the possibility of sourcing a good 2nd hand example or a re-trim (I take it there are no other options?).

If anyone could point me in the right direction or offer some advice I would be very grateful

Get an aftermarket one. I`m putting a nice leather momo one in mine. I'm gettin sick of the big bulbous renault one, its like a grandad's steering wheel.

Yup, looking at the price of a retrim I think this is the probably the best idea.

Perhaps not what you wanna do but I got a leather wheel from an 07 Clio Campus Sport that was accident damaged, only cost me 20 quid and it is in pretty good condition, not an RS wheel but matches the car well and still retains the airbag

See if MikeyK18 on here has any more re-trimmed ones. I got mine from him for £130.00 It's loads better than the standard (I assume your on about the vee one)

Put a 320mm aftermarket one in. Million times better than the bus sized wheel that's fitted as standard.

I found a little too much feedback with a small momo that was on the car, not sure what size. Retrim sounds interesting, I still have the 172 Cup wheel as well.

Thanks for the tips guys. Well if anyone has any decent used / retrimmed examples then please let me know as I may be interested. If there are any retrimmers out there I would be happy to exchange the tatty one on my Vee for a retrimmed example plus some cash your way.
