Steering Wheel Replacement

  Renault Clio RSi 1.8 1997
Hi Everyone..

I hope someone can answer this questions for me. I will be replaceing the standard steering wheel with the airbag in my Mk1 ph3 clio RSi with either an after market 1 or a williams clio wheel.

Now I am fully awre I have to disconnectmy batter wait 30 mins for the aire bag to discharge itself before I unscrew it.

But my question is once I disconnect the battery how long will I have to before my central locking stops working becoz the battery has bee disconnected for x amount o time

The reason is I hve no door locks on my car as some tried to break into it so I had it delocked

Thanks
Ric

thats not a problem I can leave the doors open. my consern is I only have 1 key and I don't want it to loose the capability of deactivating the immobaliser if he key stops working.

I know I will loose my radio presets bu I dont want to not beable to start the car

Thanks for your help, I'm sure it must be hard coded to the key but I'm sure I will find out soon
