the standard fault on all RS models, the steering wheel falls apart. best off replacing it, as its the only thing you can do, with a better one ie after market.

having said that i have heard of people complaining to renault stealers and getting one for free due to "unfit for purpose" legalities etc

Yes!
But they will charge you an arm, and maybe a leg too so you won't be able to drive the car afterwards

A good re-trim is the cheaper option, and better quality depending on where you get it done.
