steering wheel

Has anyone removed their steering wheel from a Mk1 Ph3 Clio?? The haynes manual makes it sound like a piece of piss but i cant get the center nut to budge!! Could i use WD40 or could this f**k the steering mechanism??

WD40 will be fine to use on the nut.

make sure that you put the steering wheel on lock.

will come off fine, use an extension bar if it is a bit stuck.
