Sticky PH1 Dash

Has anyone with a PH1 172 had any issues with their blue dash top? Mine is all sticky and when I went to clean it, all the blue die started to come away on my cloth. Has anyone painted or redied theirs or have any other tips?

I think it’s uv denaturing the surface, my phase 1 has it a bit. I was looking for a sculptured over-cover, I’ve seen them in hot countries like Spain done either in flocked or the fake suede like the OEM seats.

I have since picked up another dash which is less sticky so I'll go with that for now. I saw a picture of a ph1 dash covered in alcantara and it looked great. Might be an option for my spare one in the future.
