Stndard 1.2 Clio exhaust

Does anyone know why Renault chose to use the bent exhaust rather than the straight exhaust, and also, why it is hidden behind the back bumper!!

Yea i know its a strange question! but gotta admit! good point tho! other wise it would be so much easier to fit a new exhaust without it having to hang underneath the back bumper

is it possible to fit a new one to hang under the bumper or would i have to get a hole cut?

Surely you think it looks better hidden than dangling down below the bumper?
