Stolen & Burnt Out 182

Maz

Car  LY 200
My cousin has just had his pride and joy stolen and burnt out, he is gutted I can't begin to imagine how this must feel :dapprove:

Another one bites the dust ..

as odd as this sounds, at least is has been burnt out. I wouldn't like to imagine the feeling of someone driving about in my car long after it had been nicked.

Still a sad loss. must be gutted

He is gutted .. what I can't work out is why would they go to the effort of taking it to burn it, surely there is money to be made on these types of cars e.g stolen to order .. ??

He han't had it long either poor thing :(

Was probably bloody joyriders :(

*edit* How did they take it? Did they get the keys? Clios are meant to be really hard to steal without keys.

Depends on how soon after it was stolen it was recovered. i would suspect it had been attempted to pass it on, and when that failed they torched it. And also sadly as Clio values drop they become more of a target of the casual thief or joyrider rather than the 'steal to order' criminal.

Surely they can't be that easy to steal though .. must have to know what your doing otherwise they wouldn't go into houses and steal keys which has also been known of on here ..

As I said above clio's are supposed to be really difficult to steal without keys.

Wonder if they took it on a flatbed then :S but if they went to all that trouble they surely wouldn't burn it out!

sadly there are always way around these thing, remember one forumn member had his car removed from his drive on a lowload without him realising. and there will always be a inside man if you name a price high enough.

God knows but the thought of it makes me sick you work hard to have nice cars etc and people just take them away from you .. grrrrrrr hope they rot in hell

I remember that, he'd left it in gear against the garage door and it still dissappeared.

ended up in Kent, totally stripped. Anyone remember the guys user name? I remember him saying there were prints all over the car so hopfully the thief spent time inside at christmas.

I'd actually like someone to come steal and burn out my car, would cost me less in extra insurance than fixing it.

That's a total sh1tter..... :(

Tbh, if the same happened to me, I'd want it to be burnt out and trashed (ideally, with them in it). Rather that, than have it simply disappear and know that someone is driving around in my car that had been stolen.

Hope he manages to get the issue sorted out, Maz....:dapprove:
