Stoopid question..?

Being lazy (not searching) and using the phone in a crap internet reception area (workshop).
So.....cutting a long story short.
Phase 1 car, 182 engine, 172 phase1 upper inlet.
Will they work together? (It's also getting a catch tank fitted to the rear head breather).

i think 1 of the rear plenum bolts won't line up but apart from that should be fine, try it before fitting the engine??

Cheers Fred, I've got the old engine out of his car and the chap has just turned up and dropped off his newly rebuilt replacement and it's a 182 lump without inlets, I've just spent a couple of hours matching the inlets while waiting for him , so didn't want to waste a few hours of my life......

Next thing is to find out if this aux belt setup works....
