Strange 'Buzzing" Noise

I have a 2003 172; when running there is a strange 'buzzing' noise coming from the interior light housing panel :dapprove:

When you press on the panel the buzzing changes note...

What is contained within the interior light housing panel? Its seems to be connected to the light / rain sensor on the windscreen? These sensors dont seem to work anymore either. lol

So there is a small fan housed in this trim? Is it an easy / cheap fix? Will it affect the climate / aircon?

I'm looking for this link again, how to remove and clean the air con temperature fan.

Worked out that it's what's making the high pitched noise in my car.

Does anyone know it? The one above which used to work doesn't now for some reason.

Mine does this, I took the fan out and cleaned but didn't make a difference. Doesn't bother me that much as Im always blaring tuuunez!

Oh really. Tunes blaring at 100mph on a track day probably aren't the safest solution haha.

Might just try take the fan out all together!
