Strange noise from clutch.....

Started my 182 on saturday morning, into first went to pull off and got a rather strange noise coming from what seemed my clutch. almost sounds like a high pitched grinding sound as i lift off the clutch. Happens eveytime I change gear and lift off the clutch, but is then fine once driving in a gear.

I have booked it into Renault this weds, to hopefully be covered under warranty. Would anyone have any guess as to what it could be?? As I have absolutely no idea about cars in fairness, and dont want Renault worming their way out of paying for something that really should be covered under warranty

if its what i think it is,its nothing to worry about it does it on mine,try a bit of wd40 that should cure it.

they replaced mine under warrenty,it went for a while but came back just put some more wd40 on it.

forgot to say,it is the clutch cable squeaking as it goes through the bulk head.

Doesnt sound like a squeak though, someone who knows a little about cars mentioned a release bearing???

I've got a squeaky clutch, same as Jay experienced. Gonna spray some WD40 on it in a while, its quite loud at times.

I'm sure someone more helpful will be along Thomas, maybe try the technical section?
