Strange Smell Coming From Heaters??

  renault clio
The last couple of days I have noticed a strange smell coming through my heaters but only when they have been blasting on hot for about 5 min.

I have smelt Windscreen Wash etc before but this kinda smells like fish or somthing. Can't explain the smell really.

Has anybody had this problem?

Good advice welcomed..

Condensation builds up in the AC evaporator/Vent and can go musty if it hasn't been used for a while this is the smell it produces (Fish)
the condensation created in A/C units can indeed need servicing, or at least dispersal by regular use, as the A/C unit is an ideal breeding zone for legionella baccillus
i'd get a garage to check it over matey

hope this helps
