Strange Sticking??

Does anybody else have this??

when ive parked the car up etc for work...

come back like 7-8 hours later, go to pull away and its like the brakes are stuck on??

needs the clutch out all the way nearly before you hear a slight clunk as it become unstuck and away you go??

any ideas??

Pads stuck on discs maybe??

Happens on mine too when driven in the wet, left over night and drive off in the morning. It's just rusting discs after the rain sticking to the pads.

ahhh...yeah it was raining this morning lol

does it not damage the pads / discs at all then??

Nah. You'll probably get a grinding noise as the pads clean away the rust for a few miles as well.

Does it feel as if the handbrake is still on? The back end lifts up as you go to pull away?

If so mine does this and it takes ages for them to unstick, Im sitting there for about 5 mins

Not on mine, it's mainly the front brakes. if your handbrake is sticking then have a look at the handbrake mechanism, pull off springs. You talking about a Clio or Fiesta?

Well it did it on my clio, now does it on my current Fiesta every now and again

Mine does this too. Just the rear brakes sticking a bit. Not a problem.
