Strange Whistle

Has anyone ever heard of a whistle kinda noise from possibly the cat under acceleration?

Occasionally when cold, always seems to disapear once warmed up though. not sure what it is

even when it is up to temp its still the same! could it be a choked cat?

Does a choked cat reduce power?? Could it be some loose baffle?

I noticed a slight progressive whistle today after by Cam/Aux belts were changed.

Mine does it sometimes but only when I boot it. Just assumed it was the air whistling as it gets sucked in.

It gets louder as the revs pick up usually kicks in about 2-3k!!

good possibility its the aux belt tensioner....or another one for that matter, dont let it get worse....be on the safe side and aska garage to have a listen (they usually do this for free)

Ah, I was going to say that I have a whistle when flooring it, which kicks in about 6200rpm and continues to the limiter, but I think this is just the air coming into the airbox.

I did have a whistle between 1.5k and 3k but it was the idler bearing.
