strip or not?

hi all been around a while, really into my track driving and every car ive had up untill now has been very track orientated, striped out bear, coilovers and a decent setup. thing is ive only done it with older cars, ie my old ph1 clio turbo, silly ammounts of r5,s my old gordini turbo and a few 200sx's. im picking up a cup 172 at the weekend and am wondering weather to go the same route? strip her out, sort the suspension and spend a bit on the engine, and use her for what she was intended. comfort doesnt bother me atall (as the passengers of my previous single seat cars can vouch for lol) so do i go and do it again? answers on a postcard cheers adey

thats what i did, you need plenty of space tho, it takes up loads of room! but depends how much you take out i guess, all i have left in is the dash and rooflining pretty much

thats what makes these clios fast, because they are so light, ok 170bhp isn't exactly a lack of power but if you had some merc or bmw with 170bhp it would hardly be fast!

so if you make it even lighter then it will be rapid!

strip it, coilovers, uprated disks and pads, braided brake lines, set of 15s with good tyres.

then maby basic engine mods: panel filter in the standard air box, cat back exhaust with decat or sports cat, matched inlet manifold and a remap could take u to about 185bhp probably. maby more.
