Strut brace issue

I fitted my strut brace last weekend, haven't thought to look at it thinking it was fine.
Just had a look to see how it was doing, and it's poo... the bonnet lining has been sitting on the strut brace, which has now meant that the strut has 3 marks on it...
So... I tried it with the lining off, but the bonnet is clearly sitting on the strut brace... Any ideas??

Seems like the brace is about 2 mm too high!

mine is the same mate, never thought of finding a way round it as there is only one way to fit them, there is someone on here that has fitted theres on backwards (dont think they know) you could try that maybe?

Well thats a bit poo aint it! might try 'modifying' the bonnet!

I've broken half the clips on the lining now too! bum

it was fine when i had it...


EDIT: i was running a 5mm bonnet lift...
