Strut brace on a 182 Cup

  Peddled device
Does anyone have one fitted in the rear and if so does it make much of a difference?

I've just looked at one on Ebay and l reckon that l could make my own at work as l have access to welders, materials etc.Is there anything special about them that means it can't be 'homemade'?

I have looked into buying a rear strut brace, but most people on here says its not really worth doing/buying.

A front strut brace on the other hand gives the car less flex in the corners apparently.

Wait til those boys who have them fitted come on, they will advise better.

A front strut brace will help because of the heavy lump over the front wheels but the car will actually feel like it understeers more.

A rear strut brace is pointless in a clio due to the design of the suspension the mounts in the boot are for the tops of the rear dampers so only a up down force is being applied and no real load as the dampers are seperate from the springs which are further in board. So there is no directionial stress being applied which a strut brace would combat
