Strut top mounts 172...

Have done my engine mounts, all 4 and replaced front tires for more grip but I now get an odd knocking on bumps. It makes a "doinking" sound

I'm guessing it's my top strut mounts as I have heard these go.

Anyone know anything about these?

maybe the gear box mount,

I have replaced that, it's one of the four engine mounts.

Well the noise gets worse with less weight in the car???

So I believe it must be suspension over engine movement...
