Strutbrace...

I have an OMP front strutbrace and have found that its rusting :S all the paint is chipping away and it looks rubbish, anybody else's doing the same?

I dont want to get another if the same thing is going to happen, I considered the ktec one but as much as I like the carbon fibre im not too keen on the design with the holes.

Can anyone recommend any others or are they all thats readily available?

How bad is the rust on your one ?? How old is the brace ??

Mines fine no rust as yet, maybe just strip the paint back treat the rust and re paint it any colour you want????

Why would you get another one for chipped paint?

Take it off, spray and laquer it properly and will be fine.

dont paint it imo will chip and flake again. Take it to an alloy powder coater they should do it for about 20-30quid.

Not quite lol. Its just over a year old, was bought brand new. Well its bubbling up under the paint on the underside at one point but the rust is mainly here on both sides, has got worse since this pic though and is now around the bolt and edges ...

Might just get the sandblaster out and then repaint it as you say.
