Stub axle bolts length - important?

Quick question guys I can’t find the answer to! I need to replace the stub axle bolts as part of my beam refurb. In the long run I will be fitting spacers once I source some wheels, but in the mean time I’ll be running standard 182 wheels. Now here is the question. Can I run longer stub axle bolts? So I don’t need to buy a new kit again when I inevitably run spacers? Or am I best to run standard (65mm) bolt lengths?

Fine to run longer bolts.

There's nothing really back there until you hit the shock absorber 😂

Cheers, I have been sat there talking myself into reasons as to why it would be a problem. Bloody furlough has me over thinking everything

Yeah all good, as long as you use high tensile 10.9/12.9 grade stuff and torque to 30nm and 60nm respectively.

Just make sure the mating face of the beam has had the powdercoat cleaned off it.

Rather annoyingly the powdercoat cracked on face the nuts go on the beam when torquing up

Yeah, ideally you wouldn't have any coating in the tapered seat where the bolt head sits.
